Dehradun civic body to install LED streetlights in 60 wards by mid-January

The DMC officials said that, till date, sodium streetlights were being used in the 40 new wards that were added in 2018. These will be replaced with new LED lights. The exercise will help in reducing electricity consumption significantly.
Recently, the DMC officials also completed the process of procuring timers for operating these streetlights. The installation of these timers is also expected to begin in January 2021.
